Financing

The Highway 55 Corridor Coalition solicited federal funds that are being used by Hennepin County to perform concept design work and prepare the Environmental Assessment.

The project is not programmed in the Mn/DOT 20-year plan and therefore there is currently no funding designated for construction.  Completion of a corridor design concept and the environmental process will allow communities to plan effectively and allow projects to proceed efficiently when funding is secured.
